NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man punched another man to death in Brooklyn last week, police say.

Dimitry Goldfarb was near the Riegelman Boardwalk in Brighton Beach on July 9 when a man who was not wearing a shirt came up and punched him in the face so hard, it killed him, say authorities.

Goldfarb was found on the ground at about 5:45 p.m.

Video released by the police shows the suspect, shirtless, holding a red chair, while walking with a woman.

Goldfarb was taken to Lutheran Hospital followed by Bellevue Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Goldfarb was 52.

Police say there was no apparent reason for the deadly punch.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 30s, approximately 6'0", 220 lbs., with long brown hair.

He was last seen shirtless, and was wearing gray shorts and black sneakers.
