Man lures boy Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police have released a sketch of a man they say lured a Brooklyn boy into a car, where he touched him and offered him alcohol before driving him to Newark.

The 14-year-old boy was approached by the man near Lott Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville late last month, according to police.

The boy got into the man’s dark, four-door sedan and they drove off, police said.

During the drive, the man patted the boy on his head and leg and asked him if he wanted alcohol or if he wanted to join a gang, according to police.

The two of them eventually ended up in Newark, police said.

That's when the boy managed to get out of the vehicle, according to police.

It's not believed the boy was physically injured in the bizarre incident.

Police released a sketch of the man they're looking for on Friday. He's believed to be in his 30s and has a wound with a bandage on his left hand.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
