NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD apprehended the suspect in an upstate hospital shooting and store robbery in Brooklyn, officials announced late Monday afternoon.

"UPDATE: The individual, who shot at police in Ellenville, NY on 9/28 and WANTED for an armed robbery this am in #BayRidge #Brooklyn," tweeted NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot F. Shea. "Has been apprehended without incident. Great job by all involved @NYPDBklynSouth #NYPDprotecting."

Police had said earlier that 42-year-old Joshua Stuart was on the run after shooting at cops and a patient at the Ellenville Regional Hospital on Friday. Nobody was hurt.

Stuart was apparently seen driving around Sunset Park and Flatbush, where witnesses reported spotting him on 44th Street. He is also wanted for a robbery Monday morning in Bay Ridge, police said.

Police said Stuart was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and was extremely dangerous.

Stuart has a prior arrest for a pharmacy robbery, it's not clear whether weapons were used in that robbery, or if he was convicted.
