NYC adding 16 new outdoor dining spots to 'Open Streets' program

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City is adding 16 new outdoor dining locations to its “Open Streets” program, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Friday. 

The following locations are being added to the program, which brings restaurant seating to car-free streets on Friday nights and weekends, de Blasio's office said in a release:

  • Bayard Street from Mott Street to Mulberry Street (Chinatown BID)
  • Front Street from Peck Slip to Beekman Street (Il Brigante Restaurant)
  • 32nd Street from 6th Avenue to Broadway (34th Street Partnership) 
  • Broadway from 32nd Street to 31st Street (34th Street Partnership)
  • Broadway from W. 29th Street to W. 31st Street (Casa Nomad Restaurant and Akin Hospitality Group) 
  • Spring Street from Mott Street to Elizabeth Street (Mari Makan LLC)
  • Elizabeth Street from Spring Street to Prince Street (Peasant)
  • W. 120th Street from Malcolm X Blvd to Mt. Morris Park West (120 Marcus Meets Malcolm)
  • Broadway from W. 28th Street to W. 29th Street (Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership) 
  • Broadway from W. 21st Street to W. 22nd Street (Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership)
