NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York lawmakers are lashing out at President Donald Trump for his perceived mocking at a rally Tuesday night of Christine Blasey Ford, one of the women who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

At a rally in Southaven, Mississippi, Trump imitated Ford's testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"I had one beer. Well, do you think it was -- nope, it was one beer," Trump said, mimicking Ford's testimony.

"How did you get home? I don't remember. How'd you get there? I don't remember. Where is the place? I don't remember. How many years ago was it? I don't know."

Trump's comments were met with laughter and applause from the crowd.

Well, that didn't sit well with Rep. Nydia Velasquez, a Democrat who represents parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

"There are no words to describe how it felt to hear @realDonaldTrump mock Dr. Ford last night," she tweeted Wednesday. "Let me just say this, to survivors of sexual assault, to Dr. Ford—we believe you. Sharing your story is an act of courage & the President’s cowardly words cannot diminish that. #TimesUP."

Another New York City member of Congress, Jerry Nadler, pointed out that Trump praised Ford just a few days ago. "Four days ago, he said Dr. Ford was a 'very credible witness' and a 'very fine woman,'" Nadler tweeted.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat who represents parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, tweeted, "Everyone should be disgusted by @realDonaldTrump ‘s vicious, ugly attacks last night on Dr. Ford. And if that was sickening enough, his supporters CHEERED. This is exactly why women don’t report sexual assault – they will be ridiculed and attacked. SICK."

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, another Democrat, tweeted of Trump's comments, "This is completely despicable."

Gillibrand's colleague, Sen. Chuck Schumer, also took to Twitter, writing, "President Trump’s mockery of a sexual assault survivor was reprehensible. He owes Dr. Blasey Ford an apology."
