NEW YORK -- A New York judge says a math teacher accused of running an explosives lab out of his home, is too dangerous to be released on bail.

A defense attorney insisted there was no bomb found inside of Christian Toro's Bronx apartment. She said there was no fuse, no wires, no detonators.

Prosecutors countered that Toro and his twin brother Tyler had enough explosive material in there to blow up a limb or body part. Prosecutors also alleged that the brothers were interested in buying a police scanner similar to the one used by Stephen Paddock during a shooting in Las Vegas. She said the twin brothers agreed to that in their text massages to each other.

In the end, the judge denied bail for Toro, and said she was not comfortable having him on the streets.
