NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The head of NJ Transit has tested positive for COVID-19, but is “feeling well,” the agency said Thursday.

In a statement released Thursday morning, NJ Transit said its president and CEO Kevin Corbett was “feeling well and maintaining his regular work schedule while currently isolating at home.” Corbett last worked out of the office on April 7, the agency noted.

In a message sent out to colleagues, Corbett said he was “feeling well and maintaining my regular work schedule while isolating at home.”

“It’s a stark and sobering reminder that no one is immune to this invisible enemy, and I strongly urge everyone to continue to follow all of the recommended precautions to protect yourselves from the spread of the virus.”

“My focus remains on the health and safety of all of our nearly 12,000 dedicated employees who are keeping our system moving, as well as all of the essential personel who continue to rely on our services,” he added.
