NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Gov. Phil Murphy will hold a press conference from Trenton Friday afternoon to give an update as to New Jersey’s budget, with a potential government shutdown looming in nine days.

Both the Assembly and Senate passed a nearly $39 billion budget yesterday without the millionaires tax Murphy has insisted must be in there.

Senate President Stephen Sweeney says the budget can be balanced without the millionaires tax.

Murphy called the proposed budget fuzzy math.

Murphy, Sweeney and Assembly Leader Craig Coughlin are all Democrats.
