Cops say Susan Welkovits, 57, also bit her husband on the forearm. Authorities say she has been charged with simple assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
NJ Advance Media reports, Welkovits' husband refused treatment for his injuries, but cops found texts that he sent to co-workers saying his wife had abused him. Police say children were there when it all went down.
Welkovits and her husband are graduates of Highland Park High School, she declined to comment on the situation. NJ Advance Media reports Highland Park Mayor Gayle Brill Mittler also declined to comment.
