NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Midtown parking garage faces a lawsuit over an expensive violin that got run over by one of its employees.

The suit, filed by Beth Bergman of California, claims that back in August, she and her daughter were unpacking a car at the West 51st Street garage and had left the pricey Degani violin on the ground, in its case, only an arm’s length away.

At that point, a parking garage attendant reportedly drove by and flattened it.

The price tag for the damage is an eye-popping $85,000, the suit claims.

Victor Asitimbay, an employee named in the suit, was quoted by the New York Post: “We didn’t do anything wrong. If you have something very special, you don’t put it on the floor.”
