NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An Uzbek tourist has been found after going missing for weeks in New York.

The 61-year-old man was supposed to take a bus from Chinatown to Ohio to visit his daughter, but he never arrived.

The New York Daily News reported that the man, Sabirjon Akhmedov, spent weeks in a Manhattan hospital after being found unconscious in a park three days after he was supposed to get to the bus in Ohio.

When he was found, he had no ID, and doctors said he had suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Thanks to his nephew and daughter’s persistence in looking for him and posting fliers, a doctor saw a flier and contacted authorities, the newspaper reported.
