NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A new study about coffee is out, but this one isn’t about whether it’s good or bad for you.

As Barbara Kusak reported, this study is about how much coffee we’re drinking in the U.S. – more now than we have in six years.

Sixty-four percent of Americans 18 or older said they had a cup of coffee the previous day this year, compared to 62 percent last year. The figure is on par with levels last seen in 2012.

The National Coffee Association survey also found at-home brewing is still the dominant spot for demand, with 79 percent of respondents saying they had a cup of coffee at home the previous day.

Coffee consumed at cafés and other such locations totaled 36 percent, while 9 percent of Americans who drank coffee in the past week said they ordered it through an app.
