Toys R Us Customers Still Waiting For Liquidation Sales

March 22, 2018 - 11:15 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Have you been to Toys R Us since news of its closing and wondered why everything was still full price?

The liquidation sale was supposed to start Thursday and customers lined up outside stores hoping to get first dibs on the goods.

But some people were disappointed to find out there's been some sort of delay. Others were disappointed that the toy store, and a piece of history, is going away.

"It's sad, especially for New Yorkers. We don't have a toy store anymore -- everything has to be done online now," one man told 1010 WINS' Roger Stern.

The sales may start Friday, according to the company.

Last week, the chain announced it is closing or selling all 735 stores in the U.S.
