Search On For Suspects Who Robbed 63-Year-Old Grandmother In The Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Sunday were searching for the suspects involved in a robbery and attack on a 63-year-old grandmother in the Bronx.

The robbery happened back on Sunday, April 29. Police said the woman was returning from the grocery store shortly after 5 p.m., heading back to her building on Leggett Avenue in the Hunts Point section of the borough.

Police said two men followed the woman inside and pulled a knife, wrestling the woman to the ground and taking her handbag.

The victim suffered a cut on her hand, police said. She was treated at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

The suspects fled the scene. There had been no arrests as of Sunday afternoon.
