NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A house fire in Queens overnight left three people dead and several more injured, fire officials said.

As 1010 WINS’ Roger Stern reported, the fast-moving fire broke out before midnight Saturday and was raised to three alarms. An 87-year-old man and an 82-year-old woman were killed, as well as a 32-year-old woman.

Three others were left in critical condition including an 8-year-old girl.

One firefighter also suffered a minor injury, according to FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief Michael Gala Jr.

The fire broke out in a house on 211th Street in Queens Village. The house was filled with people who were to attend a Sunday wedding.

“I saw the firefighters taking a couple bodies out the window, you know, probably unresponsive due to smoke inhalation,” said neighbor Sunil Basant.

The fire was under control an hour and a half after firefighters arrived. The cause was under investigation late Sunday morning.
