NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Talk about long haul flights.

Qantas Airways is trying out three of those from New York and London to Sydney, Australia.

The first flights will be via research runs with 40 people on board - mostly airline employees. They'll be fitted with technology devices and will undergo various experiments to see how the human body copes on the 19-hour non-stop flights.

The test runs will take place this fall with Qantas intending to begin these routes as regular commercial flights by 2023.

Wonder how many little bags of pretzels you'll get on a flight that long?
