Police seek man behind 13 Manhattan break-ins in 2 weeks

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man believed to be behind 13 burglaries in Manhattan in a two-week period. 

Police say all 13 incidents involved him forcing his way into bars or restaurants, and all happened between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

In the first incident, he kicked in the glass front door at Milk & Hops, a restaurant and shop in Chelsea, on Nov. 19 at approximately 12:30 a.m. He removed $269 before fleeing.

On the night of Nov. 21, police say he broke into three restaurants in the Murray Hill area between 11 p.m. and midnight. 

In total, police say he's stolen more then $1,700, as well as several tablets, smartphones and bottles of liquor. 

Police describe him as a man in his 30s with a medium build, last seen wearing a gray and green jacket, black sweatpants, white sneakers and eyeglasses.
