Police: Man Broke Into Home, Got Into Bed With Girl In Borough Park

April 17, 2018 - 8:59 pm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday were searching for a man who broke into a home in Borough Park, Brooklyn and got into bed with an adolescent girl.

Early Tuesday morning, police said the intruder got into the home on 39th Street and found his way into a bed with the 14-year-old girl. He pulled his own pants down, and covered the girl’s mouth, police said.

The girl woke up screaming, which caused her 10-year-old sister also to scream, causing the man to run out, police said.

Residents on 39th Street were already on edge, said Elizabeth Marzan.

“It’s terrifying, but there’s been a lot going on in this neighborhood lately, so… they broke into my car, they stole the bikes from the back,” she told 1010 WINS' Samantha Liebman.

Neighbor Chaya Tomlin is a family friend.

“Most of them have little kids, and I get very scared. But we’re sure with the Police Department and the detectives, it’s all going to be under control,” Tomlin said.

She hopes police find the suspect, who she said left a bicycle and a sweat shirt behind.
