Man shot to death following dispute at Inwood restaurant

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man is dead and a woman injured after an early-morning shooting in front of a longtime local restaurant in Inwood.

A 28-year-old man was shot twice in the chest in front of Floridita restaurant and bar just before 5 a.m. Monday. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 58-year-old woman was also shot in the leg and is listed in stable condition at to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Harlem.

Blood could be seen on the sidewalk and in the entrance of the restaurant, 1010 WINS' Juliet Papa reported.

Police say there was some sort of dispute and are looking for the gunman who fled on foot. He is described as a man in his 30s, heavyset wearing a blue jacket, Papa reported.
