NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Sunday were searching for a man who they say groped two teen girls on city buses in Queens.

The first incident happened around 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, on a Metropolitan Transportation Authority Q113 bus headed south on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard. The man sat down next to an 18-year-old woman, and grabbed her buttocks as the bus stopped to let off passengers at Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and 147th Avenue in Springfield Gardens, Queens, police said.

The second incident happened around 3:30 p.m. the same day on a Q111 bus at Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue in Jamaica, Queens, police said. The suspect was chatting with a girl whom published reports said was 15 when he grabbed her buttocks, police said.

In fear for her safety, the girl got off the bus at Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and Mathias Avenue, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male between 40 and 50 years old, standing 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 to 180 pounds. He had short dreadlocks and a beard and was wearing glasses, and was last seen wearing a purple scarf around his neck and head, police said.

He was also wearing a three-quarter length tan trenchcoat, tan slacks, and sneakers, police said.

Police have released photos and video of the suspect.
