Lover Charged With Stabbing Man To Death In The Bronx, Police Say

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police in the Bronx have arrested a woman in the fatal stabbing of the man she lived with.

The 31-year-old man was found dead with a knife wound to the chest in a second-floor apartment on 174th Street near Nelson Avenue in the Morris Heights section of the borough, police said.

Building porter Ernest Hernandez told the New York Daily News the victim had recently married the assailant, but they found every day – even while staying with a friend in the 174th Street building.

The suspect was identified in the Daily News report as Claudius Purify, 35. Hernandez said the suspect is transgender and goes by the name Diamond.

She was charged with murder, manslaughter, assault, and possession of a weapon.

The victim’s name had not been released Sunday.
