LI man arrested for drunk boat crash that killed 1, injured 2 more

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Long Island man who crashed his boat on Sunday night, killing one woman, has been arrested for boating while intoxicated.

According to NBC 4, Frank DiStefano, 48, of East Northport was driving the 39-food boat, which hit the bulkhead near James Creek in Mattituk at 9:20 p.m. 

Kelley Blanchard, 27, was killed in the crash. Distefano and the other two passengers, Nick Soullas and Megan Blanchard, were seriously injured and hospitalized.

Two passengers were taken to Peconoic May Medical Center by ambulance, while the other two were airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, according to NBC.

Distefano will be arraigned at a later date.
