Former NYPD Chief Of Detectives: More Women Might Accuse Schneiderman

May 13, 2018 - 4:43 pm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Recently-retired NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce talked Sunday about the allegations against former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Boyce told ABC7’s “Up Close” with Bill Ritter that more women may come forward to accuse Schneiderman of assault.

Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas has been assigned to the case as a special prosecutor. Boyce told ABC7 that he hopes NYPD detectives can help, and they would do so by finding evidence such as texts and emails to corroborate the allegations.

Four women who dated Schneiderman told the New Yorker magazine that he hit them, often after heavy drinking and never with their consent.

He promptly resigned after the article was posted online.
