WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A driver crashed into a pizzeria in West Babylon, Long Island Sunday morning.

Three people were taken to the hospital.

Suffolk County police said a 66-year-old woman was driving a Mercury Grand Marquis east on Herzel Boulevard when she stepped on the gas instead of the brake.

Her vehicle struck another vehicle that a man was driving at the intersection with Little Neck Road, police said. The Grand Marquis then crashed into Giovanni’s Pizza, 1007 E. Little Neck Rd., around 11:30 a.m., police said.

Neither of the drivers was injured, but a female pizza employee was hospitalized because the car ran over her foot, police said.

Two others in the pizzeria were also taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
