Cops search for armed man who tried to rob LES check cashing store

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are asking the public for help in identfying an armed robbery suspect.

A man walked into a check cashing store at 303 East Houston Street on the Lower East Side at around 3 a.m. Saturday, pulled out a gun and demanded money, police said.

When the employee refused, the suspect ran away without hurting anyone. However, he is armed and cops are looking for him.
