NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Former FBI director James Comey’s book “A Higher Loyalty” is due out Tuesday, and ahead of the release, Comey was set to give his first interview on ABC’s “20/20” Sunday night.

Among the subjects Comey discussed with George Stephanopoulos for the interview are claims in a so-called “dossier” about Trump engaging in a sexual encounter with prostitutes in Moscow in 2013. Comey said Trump asked him to “prove that it didn’t happen” and said it would be “terrible” if his wife Melania Trump thought it was true, ABC News reported.

“‘And I remember thinking, ‘How could your wife think there's a 1 percent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow?’” Comey told Stephanopoulos as quoted by ABC News. “I'm a flawed human being, but there is literally zero chance that my wife would think that was true. So, what kind of marriage to what kind of man does your wife think [that> there's only a 99 percent chance you didn't do that?”

Comey also told Stephanopoulos that Trump sought loyalty in a way the former FBI director compared to mafia boss Sammy “the Bull” Gravano’s induction ceremony, ABC News reported.

“James Comey is the first major official who served during the Trump presidency to write a memoir, and it’s expected to be a blockbuster. His interview with George Stephanopoulos is the first since he was fired almost a year ago, and almost a year after Comey exited the stage, he is still very much a lightning rod of controversy,” said ABC News’ David Wright. “His name is at the center of the Russia investigation to the extent that Robert Mueller is investigating possible obstruction of justice that may end up focusing on the decision to fire Comey.”

President Trump is pushing back hard. He did not mince words in any tweets going after Comey Sunday as he slammed the book, called Comey a “slimeball” again, and offered a new nickname, “Slippery James Comey.”

He called Comey the “WORST” FBI director in history “by far,” and tweeted that he never asked Comey for personal loyalty.

The “20/20” interview airs at 10 p.m.
