Civilian, 2 Firefighters Injured In Washington Heights Fire

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A civilian and two firefighters were injured Sunday when a fire broke out in a Washington Heights apartment building.

The FDNY EMS told 1010 WINS the fire broke out around 12:10 p.m. at 549 W. 163rd St. The all-hands fire was brought under control at 1:06 p.m.

Two firefighters were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, the FDNY said. One was reported in serious, but stable, condition, the other suffered minor injuries.

One civilian was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, also in serious, but stable, condition, the FDNY said.
