Burglars steal $140k in bags, jewelry from billionaire's Riverdale mansion

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- NYPD have released a video of several men who burgled the Riverdale mansion of billionare real estate mogul Don Ghermezian, stealing bags and jewelry worth $140,000.

The masked men broke into the house on Grosvenor St. at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday evening. Police say they gained access to the residence through the rear window of the balcony. The video shows them walking down the street. 

The Daily News reports that Ghermezian's mansion, in the Villanova Heights nieghborhood, is worth $3.6 million. Ghermezian told the paper that no one was harmed during the burglary. 

Ghermezian is the CEO of Triple Five, the global real estate empire that owns Mall of America and the new American Dream mall in New Jersey, which opened in October.
