NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Multiple people were injured early Sunday in two separate hit-and-runs in the Bronx and Queens.

The first incident happened around 1:30 a.m. near East 135th Street and Willis Avenue in the Bronx, police said.

Police said a 25-year-old man was hit by a gray sport-utility vehicle as he walked near the intersection.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and was reported in critical condition, police said.

The second incident happened around 2:20 a.m. in the Woodhaven section of Queens, authorities said.

There were reports that an impaired driver drove the wrong way on the sidewalk on 89th Street, and rammed half a dozen cars and a fire hydrant before hitting three people. The suspect drove off, authorities said.

The victims were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Their conditions were not available, but they were reported to be stable.

The ages of the victims in the Queens incident were not immediately available.
