1 Man Dead, 1 Injured in Corona, Queens Stabbing

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man was killed and another was slashed in the leg in an attack in Corona, Queens early Sunday.

Police said the attack happened around 4:30 a.m. on 103rd Street near 35th Avenue in Queens.

The fatally wounded victim, was stabbed multiple times, police said. The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The deceased victim was identified as Luis Apolonio, 29, of Queens.

The second victim, a 34-year-old man, was reported to be in stable condition. A more specific condition for the second victim was not immediately available.

As of early Sunday afternoon, no motive had been specified and there had been no arrests in the case.
