New Yorkers Wake Up For First Work Day Of Daylight Saving Time

March 12, 2018 - 7:30 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Feeling extra-tired this morning? No worries, you'll get that hour of sleep back... in November.

The city may never sleep, but the people who populate it do.

1010 WINS' John Montone said he saw a woman fast asleep while standing up, leaning against the wall of a hotel.

Anderson the trucker had to get up at a ridiculous hour.

"What time do you normally get up?" WINS' Montone asked.

"At one o'clock in the morning," he said.

He said it still felt like midnight, when he got up to drive his 18-wheeler.

If you didn't observe National Meatball Day last week, feel free to observe Monday's obscure holiday -- National Napping Day.
