Dr. Robert Cruciani pleaded guilty to sex crimes in 2016 and has now been accused of raping a woman in New York City.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities say a neurologist who pleaded guilty to groping women in Pennsylvania, has raped a patient in New York.

It was a year ago that 45-year-old Hillar Tubin called a sexual abuse hotline and said that Dr. Ricardo Cruciani raped her in his New York City office.

She reportedly said she testified before a Manhattan grand jury two weeks ago.

He was indicted on seven sex charges incuding rape, attempted rape, and a criminal sex act when the victim was unable to give consent.

Dr. Cruciani is well known in his field for treating rare neurology syndromes that cause debilitating pain.

In 2016, he pleaded guilty to groping seven patients at a Pennsylvania clinic while he was chairman of he neurolog department at Drexel University. He was given probation.
