NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Only Nebraska and Alaska are less sexy than New Jersey, according to a new survey.

A poll by global travel site Big 7 Media says 47 U.S. states are sexier than New Jersey, which ranked 48 out of 50.

“Is the stereotypical false tan or hair gel? Maybe it’s just the accent,” the survey says about the Garden State.

Big 7 Media asked its 1.5 million social media followers to rank the states based on how sexy they are, but didn't specify what it meant by “sexiness.”

“Interpretation of the word was up to them,” the survey says of those polled.

New York was ranked 10th sexiest and Connecticut was ranked 17th sexiest.

Illinois (???) was the sexiest state, followed by Colorado, Florida, California and Hawaii.

This isn’t the first time a Big 7 Media survey has ragged on New Jersey. Another survey ranks the state 49 out of 50 on U.S. accent attractiveness. The Long Island accent ranked 50 out of 50.
