WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, PA (1010 WINS) -- A New Jersey couple was killed on their way to get married in Pennsylvania.

Kathryn Schurtz and Joseph Kearney of Jersey City were driving to their wedding in Pittsburgh, but they never made it.

They were killed when a tractor trailer hit their car on I-78 in Berks County, setting off a chain collision that involved four other tractor trailers.

A wake for Schurtz was planned for Monday, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains. A funeral mass is planned for Tuesday. Schurtz grew up in Fanwood, attended Union Catholic High School before going to George Washington University, and then earning an MBA from Notre Dame.

Relatives say she was a 'voracious' reader who loved to cook and go on adventures with her fiance.
