National Donut Day: A New York ‘Donutologist’ Shares A Booze Infused Favorite

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Before you ask, yes alternate side of the street parking rules are in effect today -- despite the fact that it's National Donut Day -- schools and banks are also open, and so are the donut shops.

Donutologist Todd Jones at Cuzin's Duzin says 'donutologist' is a real thing.

"Yes it is, it's the person who's been making donuts for 44 years who loves what he do," he said.

Cut me, he told 1010 WINS reporter John Montone, and glaze will come out of my skin.

Some of that glaze is potent -- take the rum infused, Puerto Rican inspired 'Coquito donut.'

"Absolutely, Bacardi," he explained.

Donuts for grown-ups, he calls the booze infused treats. And size matters, the donuts are minis because Jones says 'mini is the new skinny' -- of course we're still talking about donuts.
