MINEOLA, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A Nassau County police officer finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

He and his wife have been arrested on conspiracy charges.

The Suffolk DA's Office said Bruce Moeller and his wife Christina have been arrested on conspiracy charges.

Prosecutors say the couple planned to rob someone at Jake's 58 Casino where she works.

Moeller's attorney William Petrillo said he's confident that as the case unfolds, it won't be what it seems.

"We're not going to litigate the case publicly, we're going to do that in the courtroom, but needless to say he did enter a plea of not guilty to each of the allegations," he said.

Moeller has been a cop for 3 years and served two tours in Afghanistan earning nine medals.

Last week, officials revealed two other cops had been arrested as part of a grand jury investigation.
