NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was killed and her 6-year-old son was badly hurt on Tuesday night in Brooklyn.

Waiting for the bus just a few doors down from her house, Claudette Edwards said her daughter had just mention maybe calling a car instead.

"I hear boom, one car coming from that side and another coming from the other," she said.

The accident at the corner of Remsen and Seaview Avenues sent a car barreling into Edwards' daughter and grandson.

Neighbor Michael Thomas said it was bad.

"I'm a man of god, I was praying that you know she was gonna make it, but just looking at her the way she was I had a feeling that she wasn't going to make it," he said.

Shaena Sinclair, 32, died at the hospital. Her son was treatef for his injuries.

Both drivers remained at the scene, neither was charged.
