NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Joann McLeod of the Bronx has been indicted on murder and manslaughter charges. The alleged victim was her 5-month-old son.

Prosecutors say the 30-year-old McLeod slammed her son Raymond into a wall, fracturing his skull, and waited an hour to get him medical attention.

ACS had taken away McLeod's three older children 8 years ago, and they had started investigating her again shortly before Raymond's death.

In a jail house interview with the Daily News, McLeod tried to blame Raymond's death on the boy's father who claims he's in a drug rehab program and wasn't living with them when the boy was killed.
