Mix of snow, rain to hit NYC for afternoon rush

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  There is snow arriving to the area towards the evening, so expect a slushy to slippery Tuesday evening commute. 

Rain, mixed with wet snow, will turn into snow Tuesday night; roads will be wet to slushy and visibility could be poor at times; parts of Jersey, especially south of I-78 and Long Island could pick up a coating to an inch or two before ending.

The rest of night will reamain cold with slippery spots. Low 33 in the City, upper 20s in some suburbs.

Wednesday will be windy and cold with varying amounts of clouds and some flurries, even a heavier snow squall in the afternoon. High 41, but AccuWeather RealFeel mainly in the 20s with gusts to 45 mph.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, cold, but not as harsh. High 34.
