Pence visiting NYPD HQ Thursday to 'receive a briefing on current terrorism threat awareness,' meet with NYPD football team

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Vice President Mike Pence will visit the NYPD headquarters Thursday afternoon, his office has confirmed. 

"Vice President Mike Pence will visit the New York Police Department headquarters where he will receive a briefing on current terrorism threat awareness," his office said in a statement Thursday. "Following the briefing, the Vice President will participate in a meet and greet with law enforcement members of the New York Police Department."

Prior to arriving at One Police Plaza, Pence is expected to take part in a fireside chat at the 9th Annual Delivering Alpha Conference at a midtown Manhattan hotel.

After visiting NYPD HQ, Pence is expected to participate in a meet-and-greet with the NYPD football team.

Pence will cap off the day by participating in a roundtable discussion hosted by The Trump Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee for Donald J. Trump for President the Republican National Committee (RNC), and 11 states.
