Man's body found wrapped in carpet by pedestrian in Harlem

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police say a man's body was found wrapped in a carpet outside of a Harlem apartment building Thursday morning.

A pedestrian walking by noticed the red carpet rolled up in front of a building on W. 145th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. at about 5:50 a.m., authorities say.

After taking a closer look, the pedestrian noticed a pair of feet sticking out and called 911.

Video obtained by the New York Post appears to show two men wheeling a Target shopping cart with the body on top of it through the streets.

Officials say the victim's body displayed no apparent wounds or bruises.

Police are working to identify his body.

An autopsy will determine the victim's cause of death.
