NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who allegedly lured and raped a 12-year-old girl in the Bronx turned himself in to the NYPD Thursday afternoon, officials said.

He has yet to be charged.

On Friday, the man lured the girl off the street and into his black SUV on Elder Avenue in Soundview, police said.

He then drove her to Pelham Bay and raped her, police said. She was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, a tattoo may have helped cops track down the suspected rapist of a 40-year-old woman in South Ozone Park a couple of weeks ago.

The suspect had a tattoo on his chest reading "Only the strong survive," and police say 24-year-old George Persaud has that, along with various other features answering to the description of the suspect.

Persaud was charged with rape and kidnapping among other crimes.
