Police: Man stabbed in chest found dead on Manhattan street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man died after being stabbed in the chest and left in the street Monday morning.

Police got the call at around 3 a.m. of an injured man lying in the street near West 46th Street and Ninth Avenue.

When cops arrived, they found the man with trauma to the face and a stab wound in the chest. He was unconscious and unresponsive.

The man was taken to Roosevelt Hospital and was later pronounced dead.

There were no arrests made and it’s unclear how the man ended up in the street.

The victim’s identity was not revealed as police worked to notify the man’s family.
