VIDEO: Man sought by NYPD after attacking woman, 25, inside Bronx Popeyes

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man they said brutally attacked a woman inside a Popeyes restaurant in the Bronx on Monday.

Officials say at approximately 5 p.m., inside the restaurant located at 119 West Kingsbridge Road, a 25-year-old woman was ordering food when she became engaged in a verbal dispute with the suspect.

The man then proceeded to punch the victim repeatedly in the body, before picking up the victim's cash app card containing $37 and fleeing through the front door.

He was last seen traveling eastbound on Kingsbridge Road in a silver BMW sedan, officials said.

The victim suffered minor bruising, but refused medical attention.

Police described the suspect as approximately 30-years-old, 220 pounds with a dark complexion and is about 6'0" tall with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a white Nike t-shirt with the words 'Beast' on the front, grey Air Jordan shorts, black sneakers, a blue surgical mask, and carrying a red bag.
