Man slashed in the face, leg on Brooklyn subway platform

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  A man was slashed on a subway station platform in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn Thursday morning.

Police say the victim was slashed in the face and the leg at the Smith-9th Street Station in around 2:45 a.m.

He was taken to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries according to reports.

Officials say at least one man was seen running away down Smith Street, possibly wearing a construction vest.

It is not clear if the suspect had any relationship with the victim and so far, no arrests have been made.
