NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is on the hunt for a man who shot another man in the leg following an altercation that began as a verbal dispute on a Queens bus, officials said Thursday.

On Feb. 13 at around 3:45 p.m., an 18-year-old male "got into a verbal dispute with an unknown male individual aboard a Q111 bus," police said

But the dispute carried over in the streets, police said.

"Both the victim and unidentified individual exit the bus in the vicinity of in front of 162-24 South Road, where the dispute escalated into a physical altercation," the NYPD said. "The unidentified individual displayed a firearm and fires at the victim, striking him in the left leg."

The individual then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.
