Man out on parole for murder arrested over separate double murder in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a man on Thursday, on parole for murder in connection to a separate double homicide in Brooklyn.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:38 p.m. on June 27 in the East New York area.

According to officials, a 39-year-old woman was shot in the back and a 23-year-old man was shot in the face.

Both were declared dead before they could be taken to a hospital.

Authorities say the shooter is believed to be either a blonde woman or a man wearing a blonde wig.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison announced that Charles Hernandez had been charged with murder in connection to the case.

Hernandez was out on parole for a murder that occurred in 2004.
