Man needs 75 stitches after being slashed across face in midtown

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man needed 75 stitches after he was slashed across the face by a man on a midtown street, police said.

The man was slashed on his left cheek outside the Auntie Anne’s on Eighth Avenue, near 42nd Street, Wednesday night.

Police said the victim and the suspect were arguing outside the pretzel shop when the latter pulled out a sharp object and started slashing.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he needed 75 stitches to treat the wound.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect on Sunday.
