Man gropes 9-year-old girl in Central Park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released a sketch of a man wanted for groping a 9-year-old girl in Central Park this week.

The girl was walking in the park around 3 p.m. Monday when she was approached by the man near East Drive and East 75 Street.

Police said the man grabbed the girl’s buttocks and then ran away.

The girl was not physically injured in the attack.

PIX11 reports that the girl had fallen into a creek and was drying off and changing her clothes in a secluded area when she was groped.

The NYPD released the following description of the man: The individual is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 25 years old, 5'7" to 5'9", approximately 150 to 160lbs; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black sweatpants and a blue surgical mask.
