March 10, 2018 - 6:05 pm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A lovers' quarrel ended in tragedy on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens, Saturday morning.

Police say it was around 4 a.m. when Arif Hoosein got out of a black Mercedes Benz driven by his girlfriend Savittrie Beria-Lackhan on the Grand Central Parkway in Little Neck.

Upon stepping out of the car, cops say Hoosein was hit by a Nissan Sentra driven by a 39-year-old man. Hoosein, 30, suffered severe body and head trauma and was pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Hospital.

The couple had been arguing when Hoosein exited the vehicle, 1010 WINS' Samantha Liebman reported.

Beria-Lackhan, 34, faces a drunk driving charge.

The driver of the Sentra remained at the scene and was not injured in the incident.

Family and friends were gathered at Hoosein's home on Saturday, but did not want to speak.
